What is UX?

This is how I define “UX”

UX stands for user experience. A user is a person who uses a system, experiencing something in a certain context.

Search for “UX” on monster, stepstone or LinkedIn and you’re likely to find a plethora of job titles with the UX modifier: designer, manager, architect, researcher, practitioner, specialist, guru, evangelist, god.

They all involve keeping the interests, motives, needs and pains of a system’s users at heart.

What is “good UX”?

“Good UX” is like coasting down a gentle slope on your bike: effortless.

“Good UX” means setting profit motiviations aside and seeking out solutions that do not harm society or the environment.
